catCounter: This powerful software module provides added value primarily to site installations such as shopping malls and campuses, where video information supplied by a camera mounted vertically above a thoroughfare is processed to determine people movement crossing a virtual line. The software identifies people as digital objects, tracks the movement of these objects across the virtual line, counts them, and provides information in the form of customisable graphs, on-screen counters and algorithm-monitoring windows. The software is also for other objects that can be digitally tracked such as production line items and vehicles.
