The AOM-1000 is compatible with the VOM-1000, VOM-2000, VOM-2010, VOM-2100 and VOM-2110 wavelet video modules, onto which it is “piggybacked”. It interfaces to a video module electronically via a ribbon cable, which leads to the audio adapter board and then to the case for easy connection by the user. Connections are made via 3.5mm stereo jack sockets on the rear panel. The system is however mono, with one connection on the 3.5 mm audio jack used as an input and the other as an output. Each module has two bi-directional audio channels that are multiplexed to provide four audio inputs and four audio outputs.
